The airbag systems of the Infiniti G Convertible (V36) are designed from the ground up as an "Advanced Air Bag System (AABS)." This includes a multitude of sensors and dual-stage airbags specifically tailored to the requirements of a sporty premium convertible.
The Infiniti G Convertible belongs to the V36 series, the fourth generation of the Infiniti G-Series. Although there was no complete redesign within the convertible, the V36 platform represents the technological evolution from 2006 (the launch of the G-Series sedan) to 2013, when the convertible was renamed the Infiniti Q60.
The V36 Infiniti G-Series lineup began with the sedan in November 2006, followed by the coupe in 2007, and finally the convertible in June 2009. During the production run of the convertible, known as the G37 Convertible, a comprehensive facelift began in 2010. These updates affected both the interior and technical aspects, highlighting the continuous development of safety systems and driving comfort.
