What should I know about Lada airbag control units?

How do I identify my Lada airbag control unit?
You can recognise a Lada airbag control unit by the part number on the label of the unit. Together with the year of manufacture and the vehicle identification number (VIN), the matching variant can be determined.
The control unit is located inside the vehicle; the exact installation location depends on the model. Removal belongs in the hands of a specialist workshop, because there is a risk of injury when working on the airbag system.

What airbag equipment does Lada have?
The airbag equipment of a Lada depends on the model, year of manufacture and trim level. As a rule, front airbags for the driver and front passenger are provided; with higher trim levels, further airbags may be added.
