Error code 0x930ABD signifies a serious, internal hardware defect in the airbag control unit. This means that one or more electronic components on the circuit board have failed the internal self-test. As a result, the entire airbag system is deactivated to prevent unintended deployments.
The airbag control unit is the central control module of the passive safety system. It continuously processes signals from crash sensors to determine the optimal timing for deploying airbags and pretensioners in the event of a collision, supplying them with the necessary energy.
An internal fault such as 0x930ABD is logged in the fault memory when the self-diagnosis detects an irreparable malfunction. This often affects critical components like the microprocessor, internal memory, or the power supply directly on the circuit board.
