What does error code 3155 mean in the airbag control unit?
Error code 3155 indicates a specific malfunction in the airbag control unit that requires electronic repair. It suggests that the central control unit of the airbag system is unable to correctly process or store critical signals from sensors, compromising the safety of the entire restraint system.
The airbag control unit is the brain of the entire safety system. It continuously receives and processes data from various vehicle sensors, such as acceleration and crash sensors.
When an internal fault occurs—such as with code 3155—the unit stores this information in its fault memory and activates the airbag warning light to alert the driver. At the same time, the system’s functionality may be restricted or completely disabled to prevent false activations.
