Error code 93094C indicates a specific electrical issue in the airbag system of the BMW 4 Series G23 Cabriolet. It signifies that an excessively high resistance has been detected in the driver-side knee airbag circuit. This is a hardware problem that impairs communication and monitoring of the airbag, leading to deactivation of the affected component for safety reasons.
Technically speaking, the airbag control unit continuously sends a low monitoring current through the airbags’ ignition circuits. If the measured resistance deviates from the predefined nominal value—as is the case with excessive resistance—the system interprets this as a fault.
