What does error code B0150 mean?

Error code B0150 typically indicates an internal fault or a communication/sensor sub‑fault in the airbag control unit (SRS ECU). During its self‑diagnosis, the control unit detected a serious anomaly in its own hardware or in a closely coupled subsystem and has deactivated itself for safety reasons.

Technically speaking, this means the control unit can no longer guarantee 100% functionality. The root cause is often directly on the module’s circuit board—such as a defective electronic component—and therefore it is not simply a software issue.

Depending on the vehicle manufacturer, the exact definition may vary slightly, but the core message remains the same: the central control element of the occupant protection system has been compromised.
