Error code B2877 is a specific diagnostic trouble code (DTC) that points to an internal fault within the airbag control unit, also known as the SRS module. This error primarily occurs in Saab vehicles and indicates that the control unit is no longer functioning properly due to electronic damage, stored crash data, or software issues.
Technically speaking, B2877 means that the airbag control unit’s self-diagnosis has detected a critical condition. This can be triggered by a variety of internal problems, ranging from damaged electronic components to inconsistent data stored in the unit’s memory.
