Error code B3600 indicates a severe internal electronic fault in the airbag control unit, specifically occurring in the Smart Forfour Twinamic. This error disables the entire airbag system, often results in communication failures, and is usually caused by non-erasable crash data or a hardware defect on the circuit board.
Specifically, B3600 means that the control unit with part number B3600 has entered a safety mode. The internal self-diagnosis fails, causing the airbag warning light to remain constantly illuminated to alert the driver of the malfunctioning safety system.
