The control unit 38910-71L11 coordinates the SRS restraint system of Suzuki. It processes the signals of the crash sensors, determines in a crash within milliseconds which airbags and seatbelt pretensioners are triggered, and monitors the system constantly. After a crash it stores crash data and locks itself.

The unit detects faults itself and displays them via the airbag warning light in the instrument cluster.
