The airbag control unit with part number 8216XL is the central control module for the passive safety system in specific Citroën models. It processes data from the acceleration sensors to precisely deploy the airbags and seatbelt pretensioners at the right moment in the event of a crash.
This component is primarily designed for the Citroën C4 Grand Picasso I, produced between 2006 and 2013.
