What does the airbag control unit 95910-A8000 do?

The airbag control unit 95910-A8000 is the central control unit of the restraint system (SRS) for Kia. It evaluates the sensor signals, decides in an accident within milliseconds whether airbags and seatbelt pretensioners are triggered, and stores crash data after an accident. It then locks itself.
