What does the airbag control unit 95910-G8100 do?

The 95910-G8100 is the airbag control unit of the restraint system (SRS) for Hyundai. It processes the signals from the crash sensors, selects in an accident which airbags and seatbelt pretensioners are to be triggered, and monitors the entire system. After an accident it stores crash data and locks itself.
