What is a Lamborghini Temerario airbag control unit?

In the Lamborghini Temerario, the airbag control unit controls the entire restraint system (SRS). It evaluates the signals from the crash sensors and, in an accident, decides within milliseconds which airbags and seatbelt pretensioners fire.

The unit also stays active during normal operation: it continuously monitors all connected components of the system. If it detects a fault, the airbag warning light in the instrument cluster indicates it.

This control unit is fitted in the Lamborghini Temerario in the since 2025 model series. If there has been an accident, the unit records the crash data and locks itself.

Why is the Lamborghini Temerario airbag control unit defective?

Most often the cause is crash data left in the control unit by an accident, even if no airbag was deployed. Ageing electronic components, cold solder joints, moisture and corrosion at connectors, and voltage spikes in the vehicle electrical system are other possible causes.

Accidents come first. In an accident the unit stores crash data, regardless of whether an airbag has fired. A standard diagnostic tool cannot remove this entry, so the fault remains.

Ageing comes second. Over the years electronic components lose their properties, and individual solder joints become cold. Moisture follows: at connectors it leads to corrosion and therefore poor contact.

Last comes the vehicle electrical system. A weak battery or a jump start can produce voltage spikes that put strain on the electronics. Typical signs are a permanently lit airbag warning light, a fault memory that cannot be cleared, and a diagnostic tool with no connection to the control unit.

Common error codes for Lamborghini Temerario airbag control unit repair

The codes in the Lamborghini Temerario point to different types of fault: faults in the control unit itself, stored crash data, squib circuit faults and problems with the data transmission of the sensors. The individual code shows which area is affected.
