Alpine A110 airbag control unit repair(1)
1 product

What should you know about Alpine A110 airbag control units?
The airbag control unit in the Alpine A110 evaluates the crash sensors, triggers the airbags and monitors the restraint system. If it detects a fault, the airbag warning light on the dashboard comes on. Diagnosis and repair should therefore be left to a specialist workshop.
In an accident, the control unit also triggers the belt tensioners. After a collision it stores crash data and locks itself. Airbag24 deletes the crash data as part of the repair.
The airbag system is safety-critical. Do not work on it yourself; have a specialist workshop carry out any work as soon as the airbag warning light comes on or after an accident.
Which Alpine A110 generations are there?
At Airbag24, the Alpine A110 is listed as one series, built since 2017. Within this series there are several versions that differ in equipment and year of manufacture.
The A110 series has been on the market since 2017 and, according to our data, is still being built. It includes versions such as Pure, GT, S and R. Your vehicle's registration documents show which version it is. Check the year of manufacture and equipment before commissioning a repair.

How do I identify my Alpine A110 airbag control unit?
The part number on the label of the control unit determines the exact version. Also check the year of manufacture and equipment of your Alpine A110, as both decide which variant is fitted.
The part number is printed on the label of the control unit and is the most important point of reference for identification. Known part numbers for the Alpine A110 (not necessarily complete):
- 985105895R
The supplier of the control unit is listed as Continental. One example of a fault code is U0151: communication with the airbag control unit (restraint system) lost. A single fault code does not prove a defect, however; it only shows that a check is needed.
What airbag equipment does the Alpine A110 have?
As standard, the Alpine A110 has a driver airbag and a front passenger airbag. The available information on front side airbags is not consistent, and head and knee airbags are not documented. Your vehicle's exact equipment is listed in its registration documents or owner's manual.
The airbags form part of the restraint system, which the control unit coordinates. If the airbag warning light comes on, have the fault memory read out first. A specialist workshop then disconnects the battery and removes the control unit. You then create a repair order online and send the control unit, well packed, to Airbag24.
The repair is carried out in our workshop in Berlin. Processing usually takes 3–4 working days: checking, repairing and testing. The repaired control unit comes back with all vehicle data and is ready for use as soon as it is refitted — no coding or programming is required.
