Technically speaking, this means the airbag control unit can no longer send or receive messages. It is thus completely isolated from the rest of the vehicle’s network and unable to perform its vital safety function.

This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) primarily occurs in Mitsubishi vehicles and is a clear indication that the protective functions of the airbags and seatbelt pretensioners are no longer guaranteed.
