Error code U1F00 indicates an internal fault in the airbag control unit. Specifically, the error reads “Fault not registered in the BSI,” which points to a malfunctioning internal function or a communication issue. The control unit has detected a defect but cannot properly relay it to the central Body System Interface (BSI).

Technically, this is an internal error where the control unit’s self-diagnosis identifies an anomaly. This can range from a problem with the internal memory to a defect on the main circuit board.

A distinctive feature of U1F00 is the lack of registration in the BSI, suggesting that communication between the airbag control unit and the BSI is disrupted—or that the fault is so severe that normal logging fails.
