What should I pay attention to with Kia cee'd airbag control units?

Fault codes such as B1000, U1726 or B1620 can appear in the fault memory. A single code does not prove a defect in the control unit, however; only testing shows the cause.

What airbag equipment does the Kia cee'd have?

The airbag equipment of the Kia cee'd varies by generation and trim level. For the ED generation, test reports list six airbags as standard equipment.

For the ED generation, test reports list front, side and curtain airbags as standard. For the JD generation, the owner's manual lists front airbags for driver and front passenger as well as side and curtain airbags; whether the latter two are fitted in a particular vehicle depends on the equipment.

For the CD generation, the standard equipment cannot be stated in general terms. The manufacturer's equipment list for your variant shows which airbags your vehicle has.
